The workspace

Signing in to the case workspace sets a session cookie used only to keep you authenticated. No case data is sent to an external API or model provider, ever. Access to case data is enforced at the database layer through row-level security tied to your account and role, not by application logic alone. Every upload, view, edit, and approval is written to an append-only audit log: records are never altered or deleted once written.

Data ownership and deployment

No vendor dependency: deployable on-premise or in a private cloud, sends no telemetry, and leaves the agency owning both its data and its investigative logic.

Demonstration data

The public demonstration workspace runs on synthetic case data only. No real names, documents, or financial records appear in it.

Nature of the service

TRACE Nexus provides decision-support for investigators. It does not constitute legal advice or a statutory finding. Any person or entity named in a case is identified to direct further inquiry, not to allege wrongdoing.
